Why TeaPeople Exists

Dear reader,

My name is Oleg. I built TeaPeople for a simple reason: the best conversations of my life happened next to a teapot.

The globe on this site holds more than seven thousand teahouses — from Chaozhou to Kyiv, from Tokyo to Buenos Aires. Every light on it is a real place with a real person behind the counter.

CommuniTea, this journal, asks the question maps can't answer: not where, but who. Who grows the leaf, who fires the clay, who pours for strangers twelve hours a day. That's our slogan: not all about tea — about people.

The stories here come in many languages — because tea belongs to no single country. If an article isn't in yours, that's not a bug. That's the world, sitting at one table.
